Every great love story has a beginning, and ours is filled with dance, adventure, and a touch of serendipity. From the moment we met, we discovered not only a shared passion for exploring the world but also a connection through our Navy roots, and mutual love of Negonis!
Along the way, we’ve expanded amazing friendships, created unforgettable memories, and shared experiences that have shaped our journey. Here’s a glimpse into the story that brought us together and that make this celebration so special.
Our story
From Salsa to soulmates
Although their paths had crossed in years past (ask to see the photo!), it wasn’t until 2022 that fate brought Lucy and Prateek together. With a little help from Hinge and a shared love of dancing, they quickly went from salsa partners to life partners in the making. Their passion for adventure and spontaneity has so far led them to explore 16 countries together, expanding their shared interests to include skiing and scuba diving. From dance floors to far-flung destinations, they discovered that their rhythm in life was as seamless as their salsa steps.
Creating a home where flavours & felines thrive!
In 2023, Lucy and Prateek took the next step and moved into Lucy’s flat in East London. Their cozy home soon became even livelier in 2024 with the arrival of two mischievous Bengal kittens (Whistler & Olive). With their boundless energy and playful antics, the kittens turned the flat into a cat obstacle course -and brought endless laughter and joy into their lives.
'Club LuPra' became a hub for friends and family, with Prateek’s bold cooking and their shared love of hosting creating a warm, lively space. From elaborate lunches to multi-course dinner parties, Prateek’s kitchen masterpieces and their love of welcoming friends into their home make every gathering memorable and cherished.
A proposal to remember
On a sunny day in August 2024, at a cherished family spot in Tunbridge Wells, Prateek completely surprised Lucy during a family lunch. With the Wells family as witnesses, he delivered a heartfelt speech and presented a dazzling ring that left Lucy speechless (a rare feat!). Overwhelmed with emotion, she said yes, and the day turned into a beautiful celebration surrounded by their loved ones before returning to London.
